OUR VISION-ARIES
Daniela Grafman, CWEP, Event Planner Extraordinaire
On paper, I’m a Certified Wedding & Event Planner, I have a Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and I’m a Board Member for the NJ North Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES).Off paper, chocolate is a true passion of mine, I love to dance like no one’s watching and get into dance-offs, my glass is always half full sometimes with an extra lemon, baking is my ultimate stress relief, and I can’t even put into words how happy it makes me to plan events. My top favorite event moments include: the cake cutting at a wedding, the last 30 minutes of a holiday party, and the parent-child dance at a Mitzvah. (Feel free to ask me for explanations on any of these, I’ve thought it through extensively!)
Send me a message and we can chat about your event plans or just exchange some recipes. Can’t wait to meet you!
Rai Guanlao, Business Brains
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been planning events and throwing parties for my friends and family, so I guess you can say, being “in the biz” has always been a part of who I am. I always loved watching guests having a great time and I honestly still get goosebumps during vows, speeches and grand entrances.
Truth be told, I have never been a DJ and I tried to emcee once and was terrible at it. Instead, I got my real start in entertainment and production working with MTV where I spent a few years casting for award shows and behind the scenes on television shows. From there, I spent years promoting nightclubs and hosting events at some of the most exclusive places in New York City and New Jersey.
I can definitely say Vision was built from the heart and grows from the passion, imagination and creativity of our amazing team. We all make each other better with our unique talents and combined decisions, which define who we are as a company.
When I am not dreaming up new over-the-top event ideas (which is almost always), my time is spent with my wife, our 2 dogs, close friends and my growing family. We love exploring new places and spending time at our shore home in Brigantine.
John Fields, “DJ Unique”, Entertainment Guru
My first experience as a DJ was at 10 years old, sneaking into my friend’s older brother’s room and attempting to use his mixer without him ever finding out that I touched anything. Not an easy feat, but so worth it! As I got older, my curiosity and passion for music outside a bedroom kept growing and got me to the rooms of Marquee, The Pool at Harrah’s, The Avenue, the St. Regis, Marriot Marquis and the list goes on.
Over the years, entertaining companies like Bacardi and Audi and being a part of more intimate private events made me realize I always wanted to be surrounded by and collaborating with others. That has to be the ultimate pro for being a DJ — never ending opportunities to meet and interact with all kinds of people.
My favorite event moment has to be when clients come up at the end and say “I wish we could keep going.”
And on my perfect day off, I’d be with my wife and 2 kids hanging out by the shore with no cell phone!
